Ready to banana split your sides?
Banana Man is trapped inside a cardboard box ready for shipping. Tricked out with props, magic, lights, fog, a projector and more, this box becomes Banana Man's safety blanket to avoid accepting the truth that he will soon spoil and get mushy. During the show, audience members are invited to connect with Banana Man through a game of bingo, a sexy song, a strip tease, stand-up comedy, a very sad song, among other theatrical bits. As he becomes more and more desperate to connect, he accidentally sets the box on fire and must finally step out from behind the cardboard.
The piece is about the ticking clock we all face as humans, the range of things we do to avoid it, including a billion banana puns.
